Chapter 1

She’s a good person, she believes. I mean, who else would try and help people the way she does.
Growing up was though on her. Imagine being told you are not good enough. Your skin colour is different than your siblings. You are too thin. Too quiet. She had to find a way to cope.

Life was never easy for her. She had two career choices, but both required finances which she knew they did not have. A lawyer would have been nice. Knowing how to manoeuvre yourself out of a situation for a client and a detective is even better. Trying to see how a criminal would operate and finding out how their minds work. All these skills she has since an early age. You can call her gifted.
